Our adorable Niece

Hope, Bobby's sister's oldest daughter, and my favorite niece (so far!) went to a birthday party this weekend where they rode horses. She had a blast!! What a great concept for little girls. And the best part is that I used to ride and loved it and would love to get back into it. Maybe Hope and I can go ride sometime. I am hoping we have a little girl so I can take her riding as well, or a little boy who wants to be a cowboy! Bobby and I have both been bitten by the baby bug, so I would imagine once we're married we'll start making little baby Johnsons and we can have horseback riding parties too!

See the video below: (Loving the pink sunglasses, that is totally Hope)

Our Flowers Bloom

Last year Bobby planted some new plants that we had hoped would blossom... not so much last year! But, this year we are in full bloom and the yard and deck look fabulous! I need to add a few things to the deck and maybe a little more around the porch, but other than that the yard really looks great! My green thumbed fiance is wonderful

Bobby Turns 31

He's over the hump, 30 that is! Well... almost! Bobby turns 31 next week and since most of his family is out of town for the actual day we decided to celebrate this weekend. Bobby wanted to go to a Habachi place so we went and enjoyed! The entire family was along for the ride and we really had a great time. I just love him and am thankful for the few years we've had and hope we get to celebrate 50 more birthdays!!

Engagement Photos finally!

I had to get these from mom and I just kept forgetting, but here are a few from the night we got engaged!

Me very unaware that John is taping it and that Bobby is about to propose!

My favorite two ladies, my sister and my mom.

The day was perfect! Bobby's mom has additional photos so if I can get those I'll post them as well.

180 Days & Counting

The planning continues and this weekend we got a few things done. We picked out flower girl dresses from Strausburg, ordered the cake, reserved the church, made sure we confirmed with all of the wedding party and picked out invitations. One step at a time! This should be the fun part, but we've been a little stressed out. At the end of the weekend we asked ourselves if we should just elope, but then always decide to do the formal wedding and enjoy every minute of it! The flower girl dresses are below: Friday night we went to the Braves Game and Saturday and Sunday to the lake. It was a great weekend. I'll elaborate more later.

Gun in Hand

This weekend marked the start to our wedding planning and it really wasn't that bad. I think this is all going to be a fun experience. We visited venue sites, tasted cake, picked out our cakes, met with the florist and set our guest list Saturday. The list making was by far a lot less eventful than I thought and so far Bobby has enjoyed the cake tasting the best. I can't wait to actually see the cakes and see all the planning come together. Then today we started the daunting task of registering. It was actually really fun! Bobby had the "gun" at Crate & Barrel and thought it was the greatest thing ever! He really got a kick out of finding something cool we wanted and adding it to our list. He was really cute about it. I thought he would hate it, but we had a good time. I should have taken pictures but the moment was great! The only thing is now he wants to register at Home Depot. "Gun in Hand" is not something I want to be or do at Home Depot, but I guess we do need a few manly things. What do you do to accomodate the men in all of this???

188 days and counting (Not that we are counting)!

Hines & Sadie 4th of July Stlye

Our house decorated for the 4th of July!

Even though we took Hines & Sadie to doggy day care for our 4th of July Party, I still wanted them to be in the spirit and got them these cute bandannas. "Mr. & Mrs. Independent" yes, I am that pet owner, but they looked really cute and always prance around when they are dressed up. The 4th of July weekend was so special I almost forgot to post these.

"Sparks fly as family, friends witness proposal"

OK, so I still don't have copies of all the pictures, but I have one, it's below and we made the Lifestyle section in the Marietta paper this morning. My mom talked with Sally Litchfield, the woman who writes for the society page and she wanted to know about the proposal and requested a picture. The article is great and even mentions some of our friends and family. You can read it HERE. As for the details of the proposal I'll try to keep it short! A few weeks ago we decided to host a family and friends 4th of July cook out. We live just close enough to the Marietta Square that you can see the fireworks from our front yard. It's perfect because we have plenty of free parking and when the show is over you beat the traffic home since we are a few blocks away from the madness. So, all week last week we were planning, cooking, etc. for the the party. Friday night Bobby & I was running around doing last minute errands and picking things up. Bobby somehow managed to get over to my parents' house and officially ask my dad for my hand in marriage. I knew he was headed over there but wasn't really sure this was it. Then, my mom calls to tell me he was there (spoiler) and that they said "NO." Of course that was all a joke and they were both very happy for both of us. So, Bobby came home and told me he officially asked and that he just needed to get the ring sized and that it would be a week or two. I was ok with that but kind of bummed.

The next day we spent putting up tents, icing down drinks and getting the house ready for the party. Somehow I missed my mom coming over and bringing bottles of champagne and plastic wine glasses. Nonetheless we were just enjoying a great cook out with some of our closest friends and family. Bobby took the microphone at one point to thank everyone for coming and then asked that I come down to stand with him so he could give me a hug. So I walked down there a little embarrassed. Bobby told me he loved me and then got on one knee and proposed. It was really sweet and I cried the entire time. Then he had a song by Corey Smith playing, "First Dance" and we danced in front of everyone. It was very very sweet. My parents then poured champagne and they said a few words and so did Bobby's parents. It was a big surprise and really a fabulous evening! The fireworks at the end of the night while for the city of Marietta were somehow a lot more special that night.

We are very excited and really in the planning mode. Save the date - January 15, 2011!
